Help Find a Key to Fort Delaware’s History
Join archaeologists and staff from Delaware State Parks and Fort Delaware State Park on selected days throughout the summer to take core samples in the area of the Fort Delaware chapel that was built in 1863. Working from an accurate survey of the area, staff will search for the chapel’s cornerstone, which contains a time capsule installed at the dedication. Call the park office at (302) 834 7941 for more information.
