Sometimes the forgotten part of Delaware Seashore State Park, the bayside marshes are teeming with wildlife and full of local history.  Launch at Savages Ditch and explore 4 miles of marsh islands via kayak.  Along the way, park interpreters will be stationed throughout the course to talk about points of interest and hand out goodies.  At the end, paddlers will be greeted at Tower Rd Bayside with a certificate of completion, photo-ops, and food for purchasefrom the food truck! Rent a kayak onsite or bring your own!  This kayaking adventure is a one-way course and transportation is available to bring you back to Savages Ditch.

Celebrate the Inlet
Saturday, September 23
4 p.m. – Camping check-in begins
5 to 8 p.m. – Live Music at the Gazebo

6:30 – 9:30 p.m. – Beach Bonfire (marshmallows included!)
6:30, 8 and 9 p.m. – Guided Night Hikes of the Bridge (meet at the bonfire)

Camping at the Indian River Inlet has been a popular family tradition for many years, even before the land became a state park. The waterfront property, ample fishing opportunities, and its proximity to the beach have made the Delaware Seashore State Park campground a highly attractive location for affordable beach vacations for generations.  We will be celebrating the inlet all evening with a beach bonfire, live music, guided night hikes of the bridge, AND the exclusive opportunity to camp directly on the beach. Meet at North Inlet Day Area.
Beach camping reservations can be made by calling (302) 227-6991. $25 per tent.
Not into camping? All activities are free to attend with paid park entry!

Check back as we continue to add more details about each event to this page!
