Charles Tilton's Last Will and Testament

For the God Amen, I Charlie Tilton of Kent County and State of Delaware being weak and low in body but of a sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain; this my last will and testament in the following form and manner as for my excuator hereafter to be named.

First I give and bequeath to well beloved wife Dolley three beds and furniture, One table, her choice of two cows, one mare, white wain, one bay coalt, on prs card, one plow and harrow, all of my hogs also one hundred bushels corn and stock rye.

Secondly It is my desire after all my just debt at the remainder of my personal estate should be equally divided amoung my nine children. Also as to my Real Estate it is my will and desire that my wife should hold and Injoy it as long as she l ives a widow and in case, she should marry it is my will and desire the land should return to my nine children Thomas, Mingo, Jacob, Peter, Nancy, Prisella, Benjamin, Charles and William to be equally divided amoung them to them and their heirs for ever and in case there should not be property enough to settle the just claims against my will and desire. My land should be rented till desparity should be made up to pay my debts.

Thirdly I nominate constitute and appoint John Jordan son Wm my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament renouncing all other wills therefore by me made. In witness where of I have here unto affixed my hand and seal this eight day of December 1806.
