Swimming
If swimming is your thing, Delaware State Parks offer quite a number of opportunities to enjoy the water. Ocean beaches at the three major beach parks offer guarded swimming away from the crowds and commercialism of the resort beaches. The Water Park at Killens Pond State Park gives visitors a chance to slide the tallest water slides in Kent County, play in the fountains and enjoy a picnic in a brand new facility.
Beach Parks
Some of the most beautiful beaches on the Atlantic seaboard are found in Delaware State Parks. Enjoy a variety of activities along 14 miles of state park beach including sun bathing, swimming, surf fishing, clamming, crabbing, sailing, boating, surfing, and camping. Hiking trails, nature programs, and bird watching offer superb opportunities for nature lovers.
Three of Delaware's state parks are on the ocean - where beautiful sand and sparkling waters await.
Pack up the whole family and head for Kent County's only state park. Plan to ride the slides, swim a few laps, grab a bite and relax in the sun. The Water Park at Killens Pond State Park is the hot way to cool down this summer!
