The Adventure Race Series enters its ninth season in 2013. This year, we will again have races throughout spring, summer and fall. Each of the five races taking place throughout the summer is designed for the everyday athlete. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, and each participant receives a race T-shirt!
Brandywine Creek State Park
Canoe (2 miles) • Mountain Bike (4 miles) • Orienteering Course (2 miles)
June 15, 2013 • 9 a.m.
Start by mountain biking the forested trails of Brandywine Creek State Park in this team event. Then grab a paddle and enjoy a beautiful stretch of Brandywine Creek. Finally, pick up a map and compass and be the first to complete the orienteering portion of the race. This team event is limited to 100 participants. Canoes, compasses and maps are provided.
Trap Pond State Park
Road Bike (7 miles) • Trail Run (2.1 miles) • Flat-Water Kayak* (.75 miles) • Paddleboat (.2 miles)
July 13, 2013 • 9 a.m.
Enjoy the scenery as you bike on roads and run along trails through the park that will lead you to beautiful Trap Pond. Use your navigation skills as you finish the race in a kayak. This race for teams or individual athletes is limited to 80 participants.

Killens Pond State Park
Mountain Bike (10 miles) • Trail Run (3.1 miles) •
Flat-Water Kayak (1 mile) • Water Park Challenge

This race starts off with a mountain bike excursion around scenic Killens Pond. Explore more of the forest scenery with a trail run, then grab a paddle and hit the water in a kayak. Complete the race with a Water Park Challenge. This race for teams or individual athletes is limited to 120 participants. Kayaks are provided.
Bellevue State Park
Road Bike (5 miles) • Trail Run (3.2 miles) • Team Challenges*
September 7, 2013• 9 a.m.
This race features biking and running on paved and unpaved trails, team challenges, water features, crawls and much more. Dress to get wet and dirty. This team event is limited to 80 participants. Bikes are not provided; please bring your own.
Cape Henlopen State Park
Mountain Bike (4.75 miles) • Beach Run (1.25 miles) • Open-Water Kayak (1 mile)

Back by popular deman, this race starts out with a mountain bike ride along scenic park trails. Afterwards, test your running skills and hit the coast line with a beach run, finishing the race in an ocean kayak in the Delaware Bay. This race for teams or individuals is limited to 80 participants. Kayaks are provided.
