Do you want to be a part of an exciting, award-winning program and make a real difference in Delaware State Parks? Do you want to share your love of the outdoors or maybe provide costumed historical programs? Are you committed to conserving our precious natural resources? Do you want to meet new people and gain valuable first-hand experience? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then the
Delaware State Parks
AmeriCorps Program is right for you.
What is it?
Delaware State Parks AmeriCorps Program is a National Service
Program in which volunteer members receive a living allowance and
educational scholarship
and other
benefits, like health insurance for full-time members, in exchange for
service in Delaware State Parks. These are not State of Delaware jobs.
These members will increase the protection, promotion, and services
available to visitors in Delaware’s State Parks. As part of an
AmeriCorps team, they will provide and expand high quality recreation,
environmental education, cultural and historic programming, and conservation
and preservation activities.

"AmeriCorps offered an exciting position unlike anything else
I've done. It offered a position where every day I would do something
different with a group of people genuinely excited and committed
to their work."
— Kelly Gast, Summer 2004 Delaware State Parks
