Fort Delaware is seeking individuals to fill the following positions:

Historical Interpreter
Relive history at Fort Delaware State Park as an Historical Interpreter. Knowledge of Civil War history and experience in first-person impressions preferred. Wednesdays - Sundays, from
9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Paid Training begins in March or April.

Park Patrol
Responsible for security and public safety at State Parks.  Meets the public in a polite and courteous manner, promotes recreation, safety and proper use of facilities.  This position is a great resume builder for the student majoring in Criminal Justice.  Applicant must be 18, prefer 21.  Criminal background check will be performed before hiring.

Tram Operator
Greet the public and answer visitor’s questions. The tram consists of two passenger cars pulled by a pick up truck. Must be 18 and possess a valid driver’s license. Excellent driving record and good customer service skills required.

Maintenance Staff
Grounds and building maintenance staff clean restrooms, mow grass and pick up litter. Also perform painting tasks and basic carpentry repairs. Must be 18 and possess a valid driver’s license. Some prior experience in building or grounds maintenance preferred.

Fee Collectors
Greet park visitors at the ferry dock and explain the ferry schedule and answer other park related questions. Cashiering and/ or customer service experience preferred.
