Secretary

Description: Typical Duties: Answer telephones, basic computer work, greet park
visitors, provide park information to visitors, take school and group reservations, assist with park office duties. Weekend work required.
Part-time, 3 days per week.

Requirements: Must be 16 years of age, possess a social security card, and valid drivers
license, some public relations and money handling preferred.

Salary: $6.25 an hour (Summer Season)

Park Interpreters

Description: Re-live history at Fort Delaware State Park this summer as a Park Interpreter. Must be comfortable with speaking to and demonstrating for large groups. Knowledge of Civil War history and experience in first-person impressions a plus, but not mandatory. Paid training. Work week from Wednesday through Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM, from April 27 through September 29. Must be able to attend training in March or April; must be able to begin work on April 27. AA/EOE

Grounds Maintenance

Description: Typical duties: Grass mowing and landscaping, trail maintenance, building maintenance, restroom maintenance, litter/garbage pick-up, painting, picnic table repairs, other park work required. Weekend and holiday work required.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, possess a social security card and valid
drivers license.

Salary: Starting at $6.50 an hour (Summer Season)

Tram Operator

Description: Operate tram to transport passengers to and from the Fort. AA/EOE

Requirements: Excellent customer service skills and a valid driver's license. Must be 18 years old or older.

Salary: $8.00 an hour
