General Information

What is the Caterer License Program (CLP)?
Whether you are a new caterer or a current certified caterer for Delaware State Parks, this license program provides an opportunity for your catering businesses to join the Division of Parks and Recreation as part of an exciting team of businesses who provide services at the Special Event and Meeting Facilities located in many State Parks. The Division of Parks and Recreation has some of the most unique and elegant venues for meetings, conferences and special life events in Delaware. Licensed caterers will be compiled into a listing and made available to State Parks venue users for purposes of catering their events. This provides easy access to catering services for park venue users.


How can I get my catering company licensed?
If your company would like to become licensed as a CLP, read and complete the enclosed application. Return all required documents as directed. Failure to return all required documents will result in your company not being licensed.
How long is the license last?
There are several types of licenses to choose from:
• Statewide Select License 2 years
• Southern Select License 2 years
• Small Facilities Select License 2 years
• Personal Catering License One-Time License


Is there a fee for a CLP license?
There is a fee for the CLP license.

Statewide “Select” Catering License - $2,400

Southern Select Catering License - $1,800

The Southern Select Catering License allows you to provide catering services at our downstate special event and meeting facilities:

  • Cape Henlopen State Park
    The Officer’s Club
    Herring Point (upon availability)
  • Delaware Seashore State Park
    The Indian River Life Saving Station
    The Point at Indian River Marina
  • Killens Pond State Park
    Nature Center
  • Trap Pond State Park
    Baldcypress Nature Center

 

Small Facilities Select Catering License - $50

The Small Facilities Select Catering License allows you to provide catering services at these smaller special event and meeting facilities:

  • Cape Henlopen State Park Officer’s Club
  • Brandywine Creek State Park Nature Center
  • Trap Pond State Park's Baldcypress Nature Center
  • Killens Pond State Park Nature Center

 

Personal Catering License

Fee for the Personal Catering License is included in venue rental cost
