What is the Assistance Program?
The Division of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Health and Social Services have teamed up to create opportunities for every person and family in Delaware to enjoy their state parks. A park entrance fee is charged daily from March 1 through November 30. If you currently receive assistance from a State Service Center, you may be eligible to purchase an annual state park pass for $10. This pass, which is placed on your vehicle’s windshield, allows the vehicle and up to six occupants unlimited entry to the parks during the fee season.*
Who Is Eligible?
Those receiving any of the following types of assistance are eligible for this program:
- Public Assistance
- General Assistance
- Medicaid
- Social Security Income
- Food Stamps
- WIC
- Child Care Assistance Program
What To Do?
Contact your State Service Center to receive a mail-in envelope with an eligibility stamp. Take the envelope to any park office or mail it in with your payment, or bring your “Notice to Continue,” along with photo ID to any state park office.
