The First State Heritage Park
at Dover |
Established by Governor Ruth Ann Minner in 2004, The First State Heritage Park represents a partnership between the Delaware Department of State, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and the Delaware Economic Development Office. The state's first "park without boundaries" links historical and cultural sites in the capital city of Dover. |

While the major park sites are open throughout the week, visitors are especially encouraged to sample Dover’s rich history on the first Saturday of each month. Highlighted by guided tours of Legislative Hall, the park sites are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with special programs at each site developed every month. Visit "Things to Do" to see when these and other exciting events are planned!
For more information about the park's various sites, use the navigation bar on the left. |

The Delaware Visitor Center,
406 Federal Street.
Monday–Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday:
