Annual Tree Recycling Program

Each year since 1994, Delaware State Parks have collected holiday trees for recycling. Individuals may bring their trees to participating parks to be chipped for mulch between December 26 and the Martin Luther King Holiday. Trees are collected at the following state parks:

  • Bellevue
  • Brandywine Creek
  • Cape Henlopen
  • Killens Pond
  • Lums Pond
  • Trap Pond
  • White Clay Creek

The Recycling Program offers a wonderful opportunity for families to dispose of their trees in an environmentally friendly way and put the principles of recycling into effect. Make Delaware State Parks part of your yearly tradition.

This season, trees will be accepted from December 26, 2006 until January 15, 2007. For more information, call
(302) 284-4526.
