Pick-Up Volleyball League

Join us on Wednesday evenings for an impromptu volleyball game! People of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Take advantage of yet one more way to get out and enjoy the weather and beautiful Bellevue State Park. There is no fee to play and pre-registration is not necessary. Meet at the volleyball court near Pavilion 3.

Walk It Off!

  • TIME: Mondays beginning September 13 at 10 a.m.

Picked up a few extra pounds over the summer, or just want to get outside and enjoy the fall weather? Start your week off right with our Monday morning walks. Walking two twenty-minute miles will burn off 154 calories! We’ll provide information and charts to track your progress. There is no cost or pre-registration necessary. Stroller Rollers

  • TIME: Mondays, beginning September 13 at11 a.m.

Bellevue is a haven paved with paths and lots of areas to explore nature with your toddlers, and is perfect for strollers! This program, designed for children 12 months to 3 years, will introduce families to the wonders of nature. Fresh air, exercise, and social interaction are added benefits for parents and children alike. Meet at the children’s train. Bring it on at Bellevue Adventure Race

Team Event (Mountain Bike, Trail Run, Team Challenges)
Beautiful Bellevue State Park is the backdrop for this team or individual event that features biking and running on paved and unpaved trails, team challenges, water features, crawls and much more. An Introduction to the Night Sky

Join members of the Delaware Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing. Learn constellations and an introduction to observing the night sky. This program is designed for beginners through advanced stargazers, and is appropriate for all ages. There is no fee and pre-registration is not required. Equipment will be available, or you may bring your own binoculars or telescope. No white flashlights, please. Red-filtered lights only. Meet in the field behind the Arts Center.

Intro to Fishing

Go Fly a Kite!

Bellevue Grounds Tour Hayride

Hop on board for a ride around the park to learn what the many buildings are and their history. We will stop at the different buildings and look in some of them. Candied Apple Making and Hayride

Caramel, chocolate and cookie crumbs will smother this seasonal treat. We will also have candy to decorate our edible delights. Bat House Building Workshop

Why should people care about bats? We'll discuss the white nose syndrome that may be affecting Delaware's native bat populations. Participants will build a bat house to take home. Pumpkin Painting and Hayride

Come out to the Hunter Barn and prepare for Halloween! Choose a pumpkin and paint it so you can take home a colorful Halloween decoration. Cauffiel Estate Walking Grounds Tour

Come visit The Cauffiel Estate and take a tour of the grounds. Did you know that there is another part of Bellevue across Philadelphia Pike? Take a walking tour with a park naturalist and find out. We will walk around the estate and look at some of the outbuildings. We will also walk along the greenway and you will be amazed at what you will see. Candlelight Tour of Mt. Pleasant Meeting House and Cemetery

Learn the history of the Mt. Pleasant Meeting House and tour the cemetery by candlelight. Look for some familiar names on the grave stones and perhaps meet the ghost of some of these historical people. Join us if you dare. An Introduction to the Night Sky

Join members of the Delaware Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing. Learn constellations and an introduction to observing the night sky. This program is designed for beginners through advanced stargazers, and is appropriate for all ages. There is no fee and pre-registration is not required. Join us for a tour of the elegant Bellevue Hall, the former home of William DuPont, Jr. Hear about how Mr. DuPont transformed the home from a gothic revival castle to a replica of Montpelier, the national historic site and former home of James and Dolley Madison.
