Stroller Rollers

Bellevue is a haven paved with paths and lots of areas to explore nature with your toddlers, perfect for strollers! This program, designed for children 12 months to 3 years, will introduce families to the wonders of nature. Fresh air, exercise, and social interaction are added benefits for parents and children alike. Pre-registration is not required; however, this program may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Walk It Off!

Picked up a few extra pounds over the summer? Or just want to get outside and enjoy the fall weather? Start your week off right with our Monday morning walks. Walking two 20-minute miles will burn 154 calories! We'll provide information and charts to track your progress. There is no cost or pre-registration necessary. We will discuss the history of this lesser-known historical site within Bellevue State Park from before the Cauffiel House construction through its purchase by the Division of Parks and Recreation in 2003. A walking tour will highlight measures taken to make this a simple, yet beautiful place to live. Light refreshments will be served. Delaware Ghost Hunter (DGH) Investigations

Paranormal enthusiasts will have the opportunity to conduct paranormal investigations during a three-hour adventure in Bellevue Hall. Paranormal fans will learn about the history and paranormal experiences encountered by the park’s staff and visitors. Attendees will then be divided into teams and led by DGH’s members to investigate many of the rooms and halls of the mansion. Paranormal enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to bring their own ghost hunting equipment and flashlights. Investigators will be exposed to many different types of techniques such as EVP sessions, K2 meters, EMF ghost meters, digital photography, video recording, dowsing rods and other types of electronic equipment. No white flashlights please; red-filtered lights only. Meet in the field behind the Arts Center. If weather conditions are unfavorable, program will be cancelled. Join us for a tour of elegant Bellevue Hall, the former home of William duPont, Jr. Hear how Mr. duPont transformed the home from a gothic revival castle to a replica of Montpelier, the national historic site and former home of James and Dolley Madison. Interesting details of the tour include a "secret" passageway to the billiards room, and an underground tunnel leading to his indoor sporting complex. Light refreshments will be served. Spring awakening! Coming out of hibernation! Everything is awakening, and we will be able to witness spring at Bellevue. Each day will be filled with new discoveries, hiking and crafts. Campers should pack a bag lunch and snack each day. The registration fee for Spring Break Camp is $175 for the week. After care is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $30.
