Access to Fort Delaware is by ferry.

Fort Delaware is currently closed for the season. The Fort will reopen for Civil War tours and programs in spring of 2012.

Detours to Ferry Dock:
From the North - Route 9/72 S, turn left on Clinton Street to the dock.
From the South - Route 9 N, turn right on Bayard Street, turn left on 4th Street, turn right on Clinton Street to the dock.

Fort Delaware State Park is located on Pea Patch Island. To reach the island, you must take a ferry from 45 Clinton St., Delaware City, Delaware 19706.
