The new Killens Pond Nature Center sits at the edge of the park’s forest with a spectacular view of Killens Pond from the building's covered deck.
The Nature Center is an environmentally-friendly building with features such as rainwater recovery and reuse, geothermal heating and cooling and on-site wastewater treatment.
A lab on the lower level provides space for environmental education and public programs. The rooms on the first level open onto a covered deck overlooking the forest and mill pond. A meeting room is available for rent, and the Nature Center's collection of native reptiles and amphibians is located on this level.
