Celebration of Thanks

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. Bring your creative side to the Nature Center to make a traditional Native American craft. Take a relaxing hayride through the park, followed by a cup of hot spiced cider. Be sure to pack a snack or lunch and bring a blanket. $5 per participant

Introduction to Archery Hunting

Participate in this fun-filled lesson for young hunters. First learn safety and archery skills in our Hunter Education Archery Trailer, and then learn a little about deer behavior with a naturalist. Afterward, let the knowledge sink in while you take a fun hayride through the park. Finish off with hot cocoa. $4 per participant

Holiday Crafts

Create whimsical ornaments from nature’s bounty with Wendy Aycoth. As they dry, bring a blanket to snuggle in for our hayride through the winter beauty of the park. Afterward, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. $4 per participant Sign up for both Holiday Crafts programs for $12 per participant. Be sure to pack a bag lunch!

Nature provides us with all the resources we need to create great holiday decorations. Join Master Gardener Wendy Aycoth to create a wreath or door swag. Bring gardening gloves. $10 per participant includes all materials Sign up for both Holiday Crafts programs for $12 per participant. Be sure to pack a bag lunch!

Winter Fun Day Camp

Ages 7 – 12
Kids off from school? Send them to the Killens Pond Nature Center for a fun-filled mini day camp where they will discover the wonders winter has to offer at Killens Pond State Park. Create awesome crafts, gooey science experiments, and play fun games all the time!! Pre-registration is a must. Camp may be cancelled if there are fewer than five participants. $35 per day, $90 for all three days

Survivor Mini Day Camp

Kids off from school? Send them to the Killens Pond Nature Center for a fun-filled mini day camp where they will learn how the Inuit survived the harsh winter weather and do a little surviving of your own in our action-packed camp.
