Angel has been working as a naturalist for more than ten years and is a Certified Interpretive Guide with the National Association of Interpretation. Her favorite jobs include scaring folks at Brandywine Creek State Park, leading wild programs at the Brandywine Zoo, and going "birdy" at Tri State Bird Rescue and Research as a Rehabilitation Supervisor.
Angel was a recipient of the Charles E. Mohr Award for Outstanding Seasonal Interpreter in 1999. In 2007 she was named Division Employee of the Year. Angel comments, "I absolutely love working at White Clay Creek State Park. What a special treat to work inside a rare jewel!"
The most rewarding thing about her job is helping others pursue careers in Environmental Education. Her favorite programs include hawk watch, Mystery at the Mansion and, of course, summer concerts. Angel says her favorite thing about being a naturalist will always be showing kids how fun it can be to explore outdoors.
