Public programs are designed for individuals and families. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Seaside Nature Center is open daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., year-round. The Nature Center is closed October 19 – 26, November 26, December 25, and January 1. A park entrance fee is collected daily through November 30. All programs meet at the Seaside Nature Center unless otherwise stated.

First Saturdays in the First State

- TIME: First Saturday of each month
A variety of special programs and events are developed for the first Saturday of each month. All First State Heritage Park sites are open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Woodburn and Hall House (open 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.). Admission to all sites and programs is FREE, except where noted.
[top]Free Walking Tours: Stories of The Green

- TIME: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Tours led by historical interpreters in period dress begin at the John Bell House on The Green every hour. The Green reveals many tales from Dover’s history.
