About Cape Henlopen State Park Summer Camps


Mail-in registration begins March 1.
Walk-in registrations will be accepted March 15.

How to Register

To register, download a registration packet, or pick one up at the Seaside Nature Center, and complete the form. A fully-completed registration form and payment are required for each child.Registration is accepted in person, by mail or fax, or scanned by email. Paperwork will not be processed until full payment is received.

Be sure to indicate on each registration form the camp date, title, and fee.

Checks may be made  payable to C.H.S.P.

All registrations postmarked on or before March 1 will be given equal preference and will be processed randomly. Registrations postmarked after March 1 will be processed in the order submitted. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing 30 days before the start of camp in order to receive a refund. Cancellations or rescheduling will be subject to a $30 administrative fee.

Junior Camp: Children in Nature

Session:
Monday, June 15, 2015 to Friday, June 19, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – Noon
Ages: 5 to 6
Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: Use your senses to explore what plants and animals grow up in the park and how they survive.
*Campers must have completed kindergarten.


Junior Camp: Calling All Creatures

Session:
Monday, June 22, 2015 to Friday, June 26, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 8
Cost: $185 per camper

About the Program: Listen for calls, look for foot prints, and search for other signs of animals as we explore Cape Henlopen.


Junior Camp: Talking with Nature

Session:
Monday, June 29, 2015 to Friday, July 03, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – Noon
Ages: 5 to 6
Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: Watch and listen for nature, and find out how animals and plants talk to each other, too!
*Campers must have completed kindergarten.


Senior Camp: Operation Fort Miles

Session:
Monday, July 06, 2015 to Friday, July 10, 2015
Camp Day: 9 – 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 10
Cost: $225 per camper

About the Program: Develop the skills needed to help you rescue the “The Supreme Allied Commander.” Break codes, use a compass, and conceal yourself as you train for the final rescue mission.


Junior Camp: Private I - Insect Investigators

Monday, July 13, 2015 to Friday, July 17, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 8
Cost: $185 per camper

About the Program: Search for clues to where insects live and why they are important to life in Cape Henlopen.


Senior Camp: Cape Crusaders

Session:
Monday, July 20, 2015 to Friday, July 24, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 10
Cost: $200 per camper

About the Program: Do you dare to venture where hunters, pirates and warriors traveled during this week of exploration? Search for wildlife, hunt for treasure, challenge yourself, and make your own history as we bury a time capsule.


Senior Camp: Terra-Formers, More than Meets the Eye

Monday, July 27, 2015 to Friday, July 31, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 10
Cost: $200 per camper

About the Program: Use your powers of detection to find the hidden ways that land and life shape the ecosystem. Build your own mini-Cape Henlopen terrarium.


Senior Camp: Cape Challenge

Camp Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 10 to 12
Cost: $200 per camper

About the Program: Are you up to the challenge? With teamwork and hustle, you can conquer some of the challenges of living in the wild side of the park. $200

Camp Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 8
Cost: $185 per camper

About the Program: Discover the mysteries of land and shore from the ground up as we dig into the nature of the habitats of Cape Henlopen.


Junior Camp: Moving into Nature

Ages: 5 to 6
Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: Get ready to move through the different habitats of Cape Henlopen as we discover why so many animals call the park their home.
