To register, download a registration packet and complete the form. The registration form must be completely filled out and payment received to register your camper.

Registration is accepted by mail, fax, email or in person with full payment at the time of registration. Payment can be made in person, mailed, or over the phone with credit card. 100% of payment is due at time of registration.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and requests to reschedule must be received in writing no fewer than 30 days before camp begins and will be subject to an administrative fee. There will be no refunds or rescheduling within 30 days of the start of camp.

Counselor in Training (CIT): Opportunities for Teens
Do you like working with younger kids and being outside in the summer? Do you need service hours for school or youth group? Be a CIT at Lums Pond State Park Summer Camps. You must be at least 14 years old and be available to attend our orientation. There is a registration fee that includes a t-shirt. Call or email for more information. Application deadline is April 1st; must be available to attend mandatory training in May.

Outdoor Adventurers


For ages 10 to 13
June 25–29

Sharpen your outdoor skills like building shelters and campfires. We will take to the water to learn safety and skills on canoes and kayaks. All campers must be able to swim.
Cost: $225

Pirates of the Pond (2-day camp)


For ages 7 to 10
July 2–3
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
A week of daring pirate fun, paddle boating the pond, hunting for hidden treasure, and making pirate costumes. All campers must be able to swim.
Cost: $125

Ultimate Games (Two-day camp)


For ages 7 to 10

Join us on our quest to be the best! We will compete with other parks to be named the champions of 2018! All campers must be able to swim.

Wet n’ Wild


For ages 5 to 7
July 9–13
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Be sure to pack your water shoes for a week full of paddle boating, pond side exploration, and water games! Campers must be able to swim
Cost: $195

Junior Adventure Rangers


For ages 7 to 10
July 9–13
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Take a look behind the scenes with a park ranger; kayak the pond in search of wildlife; ride in an official ranger boat; and meet some mounted police. Campers will learn about different adventures you can have and conservation techniques used in the parks.

H20 Fanatics


For ages 10 to 13
July 16–20
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Explore all corners of Lums Pond by kayak and canoe, tube the Brandywine, and take a day trip to Killens Pond Water Park. Travel Time: 40 minutes to Brandywine Creek State Park; 1 hour and 10 minutes to Killens Pond State Park.

Wildlife Detectives Half-Day Discovery Camp

Put on your detective hat and grab your magnifying glass; we’re going to investigate the wildlife of Lums Pond.

Wildlife Wonders

Become a junior naturalist in a week full of nature hikes, dip-netting, and pond side fun!

Adventure Rangers

Welcome to the next level! This week will test your knowledge of Lums Pond’s natural resources. We will practice different investigative techniques and focus on some of the conservation practices in the park.

Camp Supreme


For ages 10 to 13
August 6–10
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
This week will bring campers out to different state parks throughout New Castle County for some fun outdoor recreation. Some of the activities include tubing the Brandywine, hiking and kayaking, as well as rock climbing! Travel time: 40 minutes to Brandywine Creek; 40 minutes to Alapocas Run; 30 minutes to White Clay Creek.
