Resident Curatorship Program
Delaware State Parks
(302) 739-9186
Opening to the Public
Subject to Park’s rights to operate and control the park and the premises, the Curators shall open the premises to the public a minimum of two days each year, as arranged in cooperation with DPR once the restoration, rehabilitation and renovation have been completed.
Typically this is done with the help of Delaware State Parks interpretive staff who will work with the Curator to develop an “Open House” event that will provide the public an opportunity to see these publicly-owned buildings while balancing the privacy needs of the curator. As these buildings remain in public ownership, it is important that we maintain some means of access for citizens to see how this curatorship program ultimately benefits them through this private investment in publicly-owned historic structures.
