Delaware State Parks Trail Challenge Prizes

Delaware State Parks and Nemours Health & Prevention Services have teamed up to support Nemours 5-2-1, Almost None to fight childhood obesity. And everyone who completes the Trail Challenge gets a certificate, an award, a Nemours pedometer and a chance to win one of these great prizes!

  • First Prize:

    A 5-day, 4-night stay in any Louisiana State Park cabin, plus $800 travel allowance.
  • Second Prize:

    A 4-day, 3-night stay at Janes Island State Park in Crisfield, Maryland, plus $600 travel allowance.
  • Third Prize:

    A 3-day, 2-night cabin stay at Trap Pond State Park in Laurel, Delaware, plus $400 travel allowance.

The Delaware State Parks Trail Challenge includes 15 trails in state park locations throughout Delaware. Hikers completing 5 trails will be awarded the Explorer Award and earn one entry in the prize drawing. Hikers completing 10 trails earn an Advanced Hiker Award and two entries in the prize drawing, and hikers completing all 15 trails earn the Expert Hiker Award and three entries in the drawing. Hikers should be sure to note the symbol or icon at the bottom of markers along the trail. When the trail is finished, the symbol name gets filled in on the registration form.
