Delaware State Parks Internship Program

For qualified students and career-focused graduates looking to join our Internship Program for academic credit or personal growth. We offer practical work experience and valuable training in the many and varied careers in the State Park system. Stipend, housing, supplemental insurance available.


Volunteer Host Program

Share your love of the parks and camping!

Long-term volunteers who combine camping in their own RV with volunteering and receive who receive a free campsite and utilities while serving in Delaware State Parks.


Friends

Join one of 15 non-profit Friends organizations of outstanding community volunteers who want to contribute ideas, energy and abilities to help the environmental, cultural, historic, educational and recreational features of their favorite park.


Youth Programs:

A variety of ways for young people to engaged and make a difference- During school or During the summer:

  • Youth Conservation Corps

    Make Money. Make Friends. Make a Difference.

    Serving on a team in the Delaware Conservation Corps will help you grow as a person, develop skills you never knew you had and help turn your summer job into a great outdoor adventure!

  • Work-Based Learning Program

    The Delaware State Parks .T.R.E.C.(Trails, Recreation, Exploration, Conservation) program offers volunteer work-based learning in Delaware State Park locations throughout the school year for all high school students with an interest in environmental stewardship or conservation. The program seeks to engage Delaware students in meaningful, hands-on park projects as a means of connecting academic work with practical job readiness skills in a real-world workplace environment.

  • Scout Programs
    Work toward your badges with Delaware State Parks

    Delaware State Parks offer badge programs, volunteer projects and many recreation opportunities for Boy and Girl Scouts of all ages at various sites across the state.
